May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Mental Health Awareness Month has been observed each May since 1949, led by Mental Health America.
The theme for 2020 is Tools 2 Thrive. Mental Health America provides practical tools to improve mental health and increase resiliency during difficult situations. These tools could be very helpful, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mental health is very important for overall health. Mental illnesses are common and treatable. One in five people will experience mental illness during their life.
